Account and privacy
Sign-in codes that don't arrive, signing out, inviting friends, analytics settings and deleting your account.
The sign-in code doesn’t arrive
- Check the address on the Check your email screen. If it’s wrong, tap Use a different email.
- Look in your spam, junk or promotions folder. Our emails come from Watsin, hello@watsin.app.
- Wait a minute, then tap Resend code. It becomes available after a short countdown.
- If you asked for more than one code, use the one in the newest email. A code works once and expires after 60 minutes.
- Send login code only works for an existing account. If you’ve never created one with this address, tap Create one here on the sign-in screen.
- If sign-up says “An account with this email already exists”, go back and sign in instead.

Signing out
Open the menu and tap the sign-out icon on your name card. Your saved products, chat, Threads and profile stay on this iPhone and come back when you sign in again with the same email address.
What stays on your iPhone
Your chat, Threads, saved products and their photos, your profile text, your daily targets and your language and orb settings are kept only on your iPhone. They aren’t stored on our servers, so they don’t appear on another device, and we can’t restore them if the app is deleted. See the Privacy Policy.
Inviting friends
- Open the menu, tap your credits and choose Invite friends.
- Enter your friend’s email address and tap Send invite.
Your friend gets one email from Watsin with an invite code, in your app language and showing your display name. When they create an account with that code in Coupon (optional), you both get 300 extra credits. The code works once and expires after 7 days.
- You can’t invite yourself or someone who already has a Watsin account; the app says “Invalid email address.”
- To prevent spam, the number of invitations is limited. If you see “That’s a lot of invites for now”, try again the next day.
- Only invite people who’d be happy to hear from you. Anyone who received an invitation can ask us to delete their address at contact@watsin.app.
Analytics
Watsin sends usage events (for example “scan started”) to help us improve the app. They never include your chat messages, your profile text, your photos or your email address.
- To stop sending them, go to Profile → Account and turn off Help improve the app.
- To delete the events already sent, tap Delete my analytics data in the same place and confirm with Delete.
Details are in section 3.7 of the Privacy Policy.
Deleting your account
If you have Watsin Unlimited, cancel it first. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a subscription with Apple. See Plans, credits and billing.
- Go to Profile → Account and tap Delete account.
- Read what will be removed and tap Delete permanently.
- Confirm with Delete.
This permanently removes your account, your profile, dietary and nutrition preferences, saved products, conversations, credits, subscription record and analytics events, and signs you out. It can’t be undone, and unused credits are lost.
Product photos and label details you contributed stay in Watsin’s product database, but they’re no longer linked to you. Apple and our payment provider keep purchase records for as long as the law requires. The Privacy Policy has the full list.
Your privacy rights
To ask for a copy of your data, or for any other privacy request, write to contact@watsin.app. The Privacy Policy explains your rights.
